World’s Largest Supply of Fingerprint Slap Scanners

Background:

National Population Register (NPR) is a comprehensive identity database to be maintained by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. NPR projects is taken up by the Consortium of Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) consisting of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Electronic Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) and ITI Limited. Registrar General and Census Commissioner India initiated the order for supply of STQC – UIDAI certified 4-4-2 slap fingerprint scanners as part of creation of biometric database of the people residing in the country.

Solution Highlights:

• Supply of more than 15,000 Fingerprint Scanners (4-4-2 slap).
• Fingerprint SDK for Image Capture, Segmentation, NIST Fingerprint Image Quality (NFIQ) check, ISO 19794-2 extraction of the templates, Verification with MINEX compliant interoperability.
