4Gid, won the Frost and Sullivan Excellence Award 2014 for Growth Excellence & Leadership in Indian Automatic Identification and Data Capture market.
Frost & Sullivan hosted its 3rd Annual India Electronics & Appliances Industry Awards 2014 on August 6, 2014 at The Imperial hotel in New Delhi. The awards recognize and celebrate companies that create hallmarks of excellence in this high-growth, innovation-driven industry. It not only brings recognition, but also creates a platform to share best practices and inspirational stories within the Indian electronics industry. Mr. Sam Pitroda, Chairman, National Innovation Council addressed the gathering through an online setup on topics of innovation and excellence in the Indian electronics industry. During his speech, he laid particular emphasis on the need to build solid hardware manufacturing competencies in the country, which would subsequently seed indigenous hardware innovation.
Frost & Sullivan, founded in 1961, has more than 40 global offices with more than 1,800 industry consultants, market research analysts, technology analysts and economists. Frost & Sullivan instituted these Awards in its bid to identify and recognize companies in the areas of Consumer Electronics, Consumer Durables, Home Audio and Video Appliances, Kitchen Appliances, Electronics Security, Auto Identification and Data Capture Technology, and Payment Terminals / Point of Sale Systems. The assessments brought forth latest trends in all these sectors with the common theme being focus on innovation and customer centric business models to achieve higher growth. These Awards symbolize a recipient’s commitment, dedication, and endeavor to focus on meeting customers’ needs and to take customer satisfaction to an optimum level in the industry. The awards were further divided into Jury based awards and Voice of Customer awards.
The Jury-based Award contenders were judged based on a variety of parameters like Total Customer Experience, Product Innovation, Technological Excellence, Design, Product / Service Value, Market Strategy, etc. Results were collated after conducting detailed research and assessment on market performance of companies, including in-depth primary interviews of various industry participants and secondary research conducted by Frost & Sullivan analysts. An elite and independent panel of judges comprising some of the most prominent names from the electronics industry deliberated in the findings of the analyst teams and finalized the winners.
The Award conferred to Dr. Sreeni Tripuraneni (Chairman and CEO) by the esteemed guest of honor.
