4Gid wins ePDS Supply Chain Automation & Monitoring Project from Bihar State Government

4G Identity Solutions (4Gid), leader and pioneer in providing identity management and e-governance solutions, announced today that they have won the contract for the Operational, Maintenance & Customization Services for the Automation & Monitoring of Public Distribution System Supply Chain (ePDS) from the Bihar State Food & Civil Supplies Corporation Limited. The main components that would be implemented as part of this contract are bound to create a unified system of independent components such as Application Development & Maintenance, Hosting & Customization of e-PDS Applications, SIO Generation, Door Step Delivery, Tracking of food grains using GPS equipped vehicles, MIS and Monitoring of TPDS Operations, Data Entry at District Level, Paddy Procurement Module with Call Centre and Help Desk Support System.
After the successful implementation of National Food Security Bill in 2013 by the Government of India, ensuring adequate quantity & quality of nutritional food to the people at affordable prices, 4Gid was instrumental in implementing e-PDS in the state of Bihar which drastically improved the entire Public Distribution System by introducing computerized record keeping, inventory management, tracking food grain flow from warehouses to the consumer distribution level at the fair price shops.

Earlier, 4G Identity Solutions has successfully delivered Centralized Online Real-Time Electronic (CORE) PDS for Government of Chhattisgarh in 2012, Biometric Ration Cards de-duplication project for Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2009 and End-to-End PDS Life Cycle Implementation till last mile beneficiary authentication for Government of Odisha funded by United Nations World Food Programme in 2008 and ongoing maintenance of the system.
