Medical Software from 4G Informatics
Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, 31 January 2002
In the present age and time where business is done at the speed of thought, it is essential to pre-empt the thought. This is precisely the pre-occupation of 4G Informatics Private Ltd in Hyderabad, a subsidiary of 4G Informatics Ltd of UK.
Since its inception in the year 2000, the company has made inroads into the areas of IT and healthcare and has carved a niche for itself in the IT sector by developing innovative medical software like electronic patient record (ePR), eManager and Hospital Plus.
The company provides technological competency combined with industry knowledge without losing sight of the primary mission of healthcare providers at various levels, says Dr Sreeni VR Tripuraneni, president of 4G Informatics Pvt Ltd. Its healthcare team offers solutions and services that apply to both administrative and medical functions. Some of these services are:
Electronic Patient Record (EPR): It enables the patient to walk into a hospital for medical care without carrying previous medical files and walk out without any new files. Thus software takes care of the patient’s medical history and keeps record of treatment, medicines, etc.
Hospital Plus: The company believes that every hospital differs in its individual requirements and priorities. Hence, Hospital Plus is easy, customised to suit individual hospital needs, and its language independency means clients can configure its system in their own language. This software is useful for the in-patients.
eManager: This product helps hospital and its branches maintain high medical standards and administrative efficiency, timely preparation of reports and results, better hospital resource management and effective medical audit. All these reflect prompt and better service in patient care.
Speaking on quality, Dr Sreeni said, “Our company is committed to quality through excellence. The quality management system at 4G Informatics is simple, flexible, yet structured enough to fulfill customer needs through reliable products and services. The design and development methodologies and processes ensure timely delivery of quality products.’’
The company is exporting its medical software to countries like US, UK, Canada and Australia. “To suit the Indian market conditions, we will be making slight modifications in the products and soon be launching them in the country,” Tripurareni said.
4G Informatics is negotiating with the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) for supplying one of its products.
The list of products in providing web technologies and end to end solutions by the company’s collective expertise include Windows NT Platform, Internet/Intranet/Extranet solution, enterprise networking, database development and management, data warehousing, development tools, COM, DCOM, etc
